Dalbir, Rajnish reach Audi quattro Cup India final

Local duo Dalbir Singh and Rajnish Das became the third team to qualify for the all-India final of the Audi quattro Cup Golf Tournament 2017 by emerging winners in the third qualifying round, held here at the Bhubaneswar Golf Club yesterday, Dalbir and Rajnish scored a total of 61 Stableford points and emerged as the top team. Audi Bhubaneswar hosted the Bhubaneswar leg of the tournament.

The team of Brijraj Singh and Shaunak Parikh scored 58 points to emerge as the runners-up, while Prashant Jena and Rehan Ali finished as the second runners-up team with a total of 57 points.
The team of Harvinder Singh and Ruchir Gupta earned a wild card through a draw of lots for qualification level and they will now await the scores of wild card teams from nine other cities to secure an India final berth.

The event was played on the Team Stableford off individual Single Peoria Handicap system with six hidden holes and the individual scores of both players on the team were added to arrive at the final tally. In the various skills competitions held alongside the main event.

Dr SK Mohanty won the ‘Straighest Drive’ on Hole No 8, N Mohapatra took home the ‘Closest To Pin’ award on Hole No 13 and Animesh Swain won the ‘Longest Drive’ on Hole No 18. Audi Bengaluru will host the next leg of the Audi quattro Cup at the Prestige Golfshire on April 3.
